Visit the Mentor Graham House

Mentor Graham, who once lived in Blunt, SD, is regarded as the greatest influence on President Abraham Lincoln during Lincoln's school years in Salem Ill. Mentor Graham moved to Blunt in 1883, and lived there until his death in 1885. In 1950, the house was opened as a museum. The State Historical Society turned the house over to the City of Blunt in 1987. The house still contains many of Mentor Graham's pictures and some of his original furniture. The house where Graham spent his final years is located along Highway 14 in Blunt.
